These are some of the first round of logos done for JeffreyM consulting, inspiration sources include: drawing on a whiteboard, typewriters, 80s video games, and children’s blocks. I think if you compare these logo concepts to the feeling conveyed by the moodboard, you’ll find each of them fits in their own distinct way, but they all fit.

I was cleaning up my hard drive and ran across this (unfinished) logo I was working on for a friend ages ago (a year? 2? longer?). I’m trying to decide now if I want to finish it, even though the project isn’t going on any longer. It needs more swirlys, and I didn’t want to use any duplicate characters… and the kerning isn’t right in some places either…

This logo is quite old, it’s probably one of the earliest pieces I have that I still think pretty decently of. It never got used for anything, it was supposed to be for a T-Shirt company—but the company never got very far.

An oldie but a goodie. I love seeing the before and after.

The Mervyn’s athletic gear label Cheetah was in need of an update to keep current with the look of its in-store competitors (Nike, Puma, etc.). The marketing team was looking for an evolution of the old logo that made it appear faster and more sporty.

The solution above utilizes a more severe angle in both symbol and wordmark to achieve the targeted feeling of greater speed.
