I’m taking up skating, roller skating. Eventually, roller derby. But first I’ve got to break these new skates in and get solid on all the basics. I skated as a kid, and rollerbladed as a teenager, but haven’t done much with roller skates.

Anyway, I got my skates at Fast Girl Skates in Wallingford. Despite some unfavorable reviews on Yelp, I found everyone that I interacted with helpful, and kind. This is good, because I am sure I will be back many, many times.
